We all thought at the beginning of 2020 that it will be the decade in which technology will advance, or we will set foot on planet Mars or robots will be a household name. But what happened? Just a few months in and we all are stuck inside our home due to the worldwide outbreak of coronavirus pandemic.

Winters and summers of 2020 have passed, and we are now talking about the monsoon season of this year. On 1st June, the government of India announced unlock 1. Many things will be opened soon, and it is estimated that in the mid of July, lockdown in India will be fully lifted. However, cases in India are peaking and currently, we are the 6th country in the world in terms of an infected person. And scientists have predicted that our country might see the second layer of COVID-19.

So, today we are going to give you some tips that can help you cop-up with coronavirus pandemic in monsoon season.

Maintain Social Distancing:

If you are in essential service or going out of your home for some household errands, make sure you maintain distance from people. Greet people with a head node and smile only. Even if you are going out for dining in monsoon, make sure you sit away from other people.

Take Your Vehicle for Mandatory Monsoon Servicing:
One of the most awful things about monsoon is that during this season you will face slippery roads. And these wet roads are the reason for several accidents.
Vehicle-servicingThat’s why it is advisable to take your vehicle for ‘monsoon servicing’ so that your vehicle can tackle wet roads. So, get your vehicle checked before you go out in the monsoon.

Wash Or Sanitize Your Hand:
Wash-Your-HandsThis is something that you would hear millions of times during this coronavirus pandemic. According to guidelines issued by the WHO or World Health Organisation, you need to wash your hand with soap for 20 seconds at least. You can also use an alcohol-based sanitizer.

Wear Face Mask:

Many countries, in the beginning, believed that only infected persons and people who work in essential services should wear face masks. But now many countries have made wearing a face mask in public mandatory.
And wearing a face mask during monsoon is much important as it is proven that coronavirus can travel through humid, and humidity is high in the rainy season. So, make sure you wear a face mask

How Running Benefits Your Mind

How Running Benefits Your Mind

 Article source: Impact App

We have heard often that running makes mind calmer. And, it rightly does. But, not many have looked at the scientific aspect of the same. Looking at how running brings changes to our mind would help us understand ourselves and our brain better.

Running

Let’s check out some ways in which our mind reacts to running and the science that goes behind it all!

Running Lifts Your Mood

While one may feel fatigued by running, there is this feeling of contentment and a surge of energy once you’re done.

This is due to the fact that the brain releases endorphin, which is the “feel good” hormone when we run. The release of this hormone lifts the mood and makes you feel fitter.

Other neurotransmitters include dopamine, which stimulates feeling of pleasure, and serotonin, which plays a role in mood-regulation.

Takes Away the Stress

If you’re having a stressful day at work, it has its effects on your body. The hypothalamus in the base of the brain sends a signal to your pituitary gland and together they signal the adrenal glands, above the kidney. As a result, adrenaline and cortisol are produced. While this would make you anxious and not help the preparation, going on a run would take away the stress.

Running is Meditative:

In a world where we surround ourselves with smartphones, there seldom is time to meditate. Running can give you the space in life that you need for yourself. Since it is a solitary activity, running lets you have time with yourself. In addition to this, keeping out of the chaos of the day for 30 minutes can relax your brain a lot. This would further lessen the stress and give you a healthier life altogether.

Running is an activity that makes a lot of changes to our body. Most of us know the physiological changes that come with running but, the mental ones are not talked about a lot. Since the brain operates all the functions of our body, it is of utmost importance to understand the effect of running on it.

One cannot say that running is the solution to all psychological and physical problems but, it does help. And, what running does to our body is unmatchable.

Ain't you Responsible too? COVID19 Message

Ain't you Responsible too?

Author: Priya Shankar

India, as we know is the largest democracy in the world.

Democracy - By the people and For the people.

There ain't a single election where we could, without any chaos in our mind could decide 'Undoubtedly, this Party has worked out really hard to build my country'.
Every time it is the same blame game : The government doesn't work; The politicians don't work blah blah and blah.

Let's have a reality check: The world as we all know is in chaos now. The COVID-19 pandemic has almost destroyed the entire world economy or rather to be more specific the entire world and not just the economy.China, where it all started took a very long time to accept and act about the outbreak and so did the majestic and the ever fantasized USA. These two leading nations ignored the severity of the disease and are facing the consequences. Of course not to forget the mess Italy and most of the European nations are in. Who do you think is responsible for this?

You would say, it is the government's negligence.

In India, COVID-19 was first detected in the end of January 2020. Since then the Indian government promptly took various measures, the international flights were monitored, the travelers were monitored. The awareness campaigns strengthened up.
As and when there was increase in number of effected people many more steps were implemented by the government starting from VISA cancellations for international travels, international flight cancellations then to domestic flight cancellation.

Many state governments planned and implemented the lock down even before the entire nation went into the complete lock down. These decisions were spontaneously taken by the Indian government without any delay in implementation than in any of the countries.

Yet we see the exponential surge in the number of cases everyday. Indeed why would it not?

  • If you went out panicking to buy vegetables and groceries to stock up into a shop already full with people panic shopping stuffs.
  • If you went strolling in your garden downstairs, thinking this is not going to affect your health and you have a better immunity.
  • If you continued to party and attend mass gatherings thinking lock down to be a vacation for self relaxation;
  • If you think self isolation and social distancing is not your kind of practice.
  • You have failed the nation.

If you still think this won't effect you just give it a thought. As some casualties increase, you will be forced to be home for coming weeks, the sinking economy will nowhere build up soon until everyone starts working.
As the number of cases increase the nation will turn into a mess like Italy is now. Even the doctors and front-line workers will be helpless and so would be the Indian Government.

Even if you would blame this to be the someone else's fault, deep down you would realize if you would have just co-operated and acted responsibly. We as a nation have 10 more days until April 15 2020 to stop being ignorant and step up to the Nation's well-being and this time we cannot blame the government and certainly this would be us!

Think, Decide, Act.

Stop COVID19
Extremely proud to see the Indian Government taking prompt measures for the citizens. I thank all the people co-operating and helping the nation in the own possible way they can. Stop spreading unwanted chaos and fake forwards.

It is never late. Let us all stay home and stay safe.
